Become an EMT in Alaska …

To become an EMT 1 in the State of Alaska you must attend a course that is 120 hours in length.    Most instructors and training organizations in Alaska do not offer an entire 120 hour course because of the logistics that it’s required.

The State of Alaska has created a steppingstone approach to becoming an EMT.  Yes, the best way to become an EMT is to attend the ETT training class which is 40 hours and successfully pass it.   Once you have that completed then take an EMT one bridge class which is 80 hours in length.    Then you’ll be eligible to take the EMT 1 and EMT B national registry exams.
