MultiMed has been educating EMS, Fire, Police, Health Aides, Hospital, and Safety Professionals throughout Alaska since 1994. The majority of our training to date has been to professionals in the industry field, however, due to the growing demand put on businesses to have employees trained in CPR, AED and first aid, MultiMed’s focus is expanding to meet the challenge.

There are over 4,000 Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) providing basic and advanced life support and 17 air medical services in the State of Alaska. Of the 80 plus services, they range in size from small rural groups providing basic life support to state of the art, paramedic based agencies in the more populous areas of the state. With hospital care being hours and maybe days away, the quality of medical training you and your employees receive can well decide who lives and who dies. The more people educated in the correct use of basic life support techniques, the more friends, family and co-workers will be by our side in years to come. The geography, weather, and distances between some communities in Alaska makes continuing medical education a critical lifeline to the treatment of the sick and injured.

In 1998 legislation was passed that redefined the use of an automated external defibrillator as a basic life support skill and provided, through the Good Samaritan Law, some immunity from civil liability to properly trained personnel who use AEDs in a resuscitation attempt and who activate the EMS system. Multi-Med has been a leading educator in the effective use of AEDs and CPR techniques.

The overall goal of MultiMed is to provide training to all Alaskans, both professional and private in order to prevent life-threatening or disabling injuries and to create community awareness. We all have the ability to help our fellow citizens. With a few hours of instruction, you can learn to save the life of a family member, neighbor or co-worker.

MultiMed wishes to recognize all emergency medical technicians, first responders, dispatchers, police, firefighters and the State and Regional EMS staffs for their continuing efforts and dedication in the EMS field. Together we can save lives!

Our ETT and EMT programs have a 100% pass rate.
